Dr. Huei Lien (Elaine) Chen /陳慧蓮 currently serves as faculty/academic associate at Mary Lou Fulton Teacher College, Arizona State University. She received her doctoral from Kansas State University in 2006 in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Educational Technology, Design, and Online Learning. Dr. Chen has taught online since 2008 and her career has been centered in educational technologies and instructional design. She has solid experiences in applying learning theories and instructional strategies into online course design. Dr. Chen’s research interests include teaching and learning with technology, instructional design, and project-based learning. In addition, she has conducted research studies in those fields. On a personal note, some of Elaine's hobbies include hiking, photographing, gardening, and visiting new places, especially national parks in the USA. She also loves spending quality time with her family and friends.
