Long Bio
Kristyn PiƱeda is an experienced professional with more than 20 years of experience managing complex administrative tasks and programs in education and healthcare, emphasizing innovation in all of these settings. Her experience includes the planning and execution of high-impact projects ranging from her role in developing novel approaches to biomarker discovery and innovative clinical trials models with the National Biomarker Development Alliance (NBDA) to focused projects in her specialty areas of master and doctorate training (emotional support as a critical element of the overall clinical care continuum in various care settings). In her current role at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, she serves as the Program Manager in support of the principal investigator to develop and implement analytics and processes to monitor SOR and STR grants recently awarded to the U of A by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
Kristyn received her Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice in 2001 from Northern Arizona University, a Master's degree in Healthcare Innovation in 2018 from Arizona State University, and a Doctorate in Behavioral Health with a concentration in Management in 2022 from Arizona State University. She is currently pursuing another master's degree in Clinical Research Management from Arizona State University. Her goal is to utilize her training to bring new thinking and innovative approaches to integrating psychosocial interventions and other supportive services into the clinical care continuum for pediatric survivors of life-altering diseases such as cancer.
