Long Bio
Sarah Marie is a communications and social media specialist passionate about art, history, and archaeology. Currently pursuing a BFA in Sculpture and a BA in Art History with a minor in Anthropology, she brings a unique blend of creativity and intellectual curiosity to the School of Art.
In addition to her academic pursuits, Sarah Marie is an active member of the Antiochia ad Cragum Archaeological Research project in Gazipasa, Turkey. As a team member, she helps with fieldwork and archaeological illustration efforts, contributing to an ever-growing body of research about the region and the ancient Roman city. Additionally, Sarah Marie is a member of the Bandafassi Regional Archaeological Project at ASU and currently works in the lithics lab, analyzing artifacts, compiling data, and creating academic illustrations for the project.
Sarah Marie spent two years as an assistant preparator at ASU’s Art Museum, where she was responsible for installing exhibitions and handling and maintaining the museum’s collection. Her interdisciplinary background, combined with her experience in archaeology and museum work, has led her to a position with the ASU School of Art’s communications team, where she hopes to create meaningful and impactful content which will aid in the continued success of students, faculty, and staff.
