MacKenzie Ramirez is an Instructional Designer with the College of Health Solutions. In this role, she supports faculty with digital tools, course design, and best practices as an educator. MacKenzie began her journey at ASU as a Learning Experience Design Associate at Enterprise technology.
Prior to working in higher education, MacKenzie began her career as a K-12 educator in the Alhambra Elementary School District as a third-grade teacher. This journey led her to teach primary school at an American School in Doha, Qatar.
In 2020, MacKenzie finished her Master’s in Instructional Technology. During this time, she supported Middle East International School as they transitioned to online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. MacKenzie would then serve as the school’s eLearning Coordinator and establish the school’s first maker space.
The culmination of her experience and education has fueled her passion for digital literacy, accessible education, and emerging technologies.
