I’m a visionary leader in learning innovation, shaping how education meets the needs of today’s learners and tomorrow’s industries. As Director of Instructional Design at Cornell, I guided the development of high-impact online programs for professional, master’s-level, and workforce development audiences—building transformative learning experiences that are rigorous, scalable, and grounded in real-world application. Building smarter, faster, more human learning.
My work spans fast-evolving fields including data science, generative AI, engineering, natural language processing (NLP), large language models (LLMs), semiconductor technologies, and space technologies. I designed learning that aligns directly with real-world needs, preparing learners to apply skills immediately and grow with confidence.
At my core, I build and lead high-performing teams. I’ve mentored and developed over 100 STEM-focused instructional designers—cultivating a culture of excellence, collaboration, and creativity. My teams consistently deliver exceptional results under pressure and at scale.
At Cornell, I was part of a team developing and integrating AI tools to streamline course development, improve production efficiency, and enhance learning design quality. We’re also leveraging AI inside the learning experience itself—boosting student engagement and enabling more personalized, adaptive learning pathways.
Before Cornell, I was Senior Manager of Learning & Development at Republic Services, supporting 36,000+ employees. I led the creation of dozens of multilingual, media-rich training programs, built an in-house media lab, and helped drive over $1M in first-year savings through process improvements and learning-driven behavior change.
Earlier, I served as Director of Technology-Based Learning and Research at ASU’s SkySong Innovation Campus for over 25 years, and retired in 2016. I led dozens of mobile and web-based learning projects. I helped secure over $1B in grants and partnerships with the U.S. Department of Education, NSF, Intel, Cisco, Microsoft, Apple, IBM, and James Cameron. I also mentored multiple edtech startups from idea to market.
I later led business development at Adaptive Curriculum, forming strategic partnerships, scaling operations, and implementing change management strategies for long-term growth.
