Kate Lehman retired from Arizona State University in 2020 after nearly 26 years of service. Lehman now teaches as a faculty associate in The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences' School of Politics and Global Studies. Lehman holds bachelor's degrees in broadcast journalism and political science from Arizona State University as well as a master's degree in political science. She also completed all coursework for a doctoral degree in that department.
Lehman's research interest is in judicial selection systems as it influences judicial behavior and outcomes. She is a former president of the Beta of Arizona chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. She served as Senator for the Western United States for the Phi Beta Kappa Society from 2009-2015.
Away from the university, Kate pastors St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Community, a parish in the Ecumenical Catholic Communion. She was ordained as a priest in 2007 and served a president of the ECC' House of Pastors until 2018.
