Stefanie Botner is a Senior Business Analyst in the Technology Strategy and Operations team at the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, where she leads high-visibility institutional reporting, analytics, and business process improvement initiatives. With more than a decade of progressive experience at ASU, she is known for her expertise in complex data workflows, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic reporting that supports executive decision-making and operational excellence.
Before her current role, Stefanie served as a Business Analyst, where she partnered with academic and administrative stakeholders to translate business needs into high-impact dashboards and reporting solutions. Prior to joining the Technology Strategy and Operations team, she held leadership and technology management roles in ASU’s International Students and Scholars Center, where she provided operational strategy, technology implementation oversight, and team leadership.
Over the course of her career, Stefanie has built a reputation for delivering accurate, reliable enterprise reporting under tight deadlines, especially for national and international rankings and accreditation surveys, and for driving improvements in operational processes. She fosters productive partnerships across units including dean’s offices, institutional research, faculty subject-matter experts, and technology teams to reconcile data and define reporting logic that aligns with business goals.
Originally from Germany, Stefanie came to the United States as an exchange student and later returned to Arizona to pursue her education. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education and a Master of Education in Higher and Postsecondary Education, both from Arizona State University. Outside of work, she enjoys baking, exploring parks and trails with her family, and biking throughout the Phoenix area.
