Binoli is a second-year doctoral student in the Population Health PhD program at the College of Health Solutions. Originally from Sri Lanka, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. As a Graduate Research Assistant in Dr. Mindy McEntee's lab, Binoli contributes to the recently launched Community Health Worker Training Program (CHW-TP) at ASU, which aims to expand CHW training and workforce development in Arizona. Her current research focuses on weight bias among healthcare providers, weight stigma experienced by higher weight patients, and interventions that promote weight-inclusive care.

- Implementation of a Community Health Worker Training Program to increase access to care in medically-underserved communities in Arizona
- Scaling and evaluation of the Pathways to Healthier Living, Dignity Health's CHW program with St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center (SJMC)
- Evaluation and refinement of pilot program to shift from weight-centric to weight-inclusive primary care
- Arizona provider experiences with weight management and weight-inclusive care practices
- "SmartHeat Tracker": an integrative mHealth-AI tool to monitor and advise users on heat-related health risks, a collaborative project for the Student Dissemination and Implementation Research Challenge aimed at reducing the impact of heat on the health of vulnerable and high-risk populations in Phoenix
