Stone is a history doctoral student at ASU researching modern Mexico focusing on state violence perpetrated through policing and incarceration of political radicals and subaltern groups.

Research Interests
Geographically my focus is on Latin America, specifically modern Mexico. My primary area of interest is policing and incarceration of political dissidents and marginalized populations in Cold War era Mexico. My additional areas of interest include the Global Cold War era, the history of subaltern peoples and the transnational spread of politics, culture, and crime.
General research interests include: politics, culture, crime, Global Cold War, Latin America, Mexico, student movements, artistic and literary movements, social movements, corruption, policing and incarceration.
