Long Bio
Huiyuan Wu is a Ph.D. student in Public Administration and Policy at ASU School of Public Affairs and a Graduate Student Fellow at the Center for Organization Research and Design (CORD). Her current research interest is public budgeting and finance, focusing on alleviating financial pressure and maintaining fiscal health. There are three main projects she is currently working on: (1) whether local governments are using increased fiscal autonomy to expand the size of government and whether voters are acting as an effective constraint on this behavior; (2) the impact of Fracking on the fiscal condition of local governments; and (3) how local government procurements in Arizona save cost.
