John M. Fredericks draws on his professional background as a high school teacher in the Mississippi Delta and his work within policy advocacy to research how education policy is constructed, implemented, and (re)produced to affect the lived experiences of teachers, students, and administrators. He is interested in school accountability reporting, teacher labor markets, public perception/trust of school quality, and the intersection between critical theory and quantitative methodologies.
