Cindy Coe joined the MLFTC Division of Teacher Preparation in 2024. She spent 32 years in public secondary schools and has taught grades 6-12. Her specialties are in Social Studies and English Language Arts. After achieving her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from George Fox University in 2012, Cindy has spent the last decade teaching as an adjunct professor for schools of education in Oregon. In 2023 she moved to Arizona and currently lives in Buckeye.
Cindy's areas of expertise are in SS methods, ELA methods, Grading and Assessment, and Content Literacy. Her dissertation researched the transition from points to proficiency grading methods. Cindy holds endorsements in Social Studies and English, and has an SEI (Structured English Immersion) certificate. She is a past board member of Oregon Council for the Social Studies and Oregon Council for Teachers of English.
