Research Interests
As an evolutionary biologist, my research seeks to understand how species and populations rapidly respond and adapt to environmental changes, contributing to the incredible diversity of life forms that surround us. I am particularly fascinated by the biodiversity of insects encompassing some of the most complex adaptations while also being influenced by interactions with human populations. Their advantageous life-traits allow for experimental approaches to test evolutionary predictions both in the lab and in the field.
I am currently studying the genetic basis underpinning developmental behavioral plasticity in locusts and grasshoppers of the genus Schistocerca as part of the amazing integrative team of the NSF-BPRI.
