Professor Sturgess is a Lecturer for the T.W. Lewis Center for Personal Development within Barrett, the Honors College. Sturgess is a philosopher of communication whose expertise includes hermeneutics, phenomenology, and existentialism as it relates to communication and communicative ethics.
Sturgess also has extensive experience assisting students in achieving financial literacy, attaining educational goals, and finding living wage employment. She teaches courses on happiness, leadership, and career success.
