As Assistant Director for Partner Development, John serves as a guide to school system leaders as they explore, and make commitments to implementing, team-based staffing models that make teaching more sustainable for educators and more effective for students.
Previously, John was Senior Director at Deans for Impact, a national organization committed to ensuring that every child is taught by a well-prepared teacher. He is a former middle school teacher, school principal, and was an assistant professor of education leadership focused on supporting educators and systems for instructional improvement.
He is the author of Instructional Rounds in Action, published by Harvard Education Press in 2012.
