Dr. George Grispos is an Associate Professor of Digital Forensics in the School of Interdisciplinary Forensics, having previously served as an Assistant/Associate Professor of Cybersecurity at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. His research primarily concentrates on digital forensics, residual data, and cybersecurity, with a specialized emphasis on smartphones and Internet of Things (IoT).
Dr. Grispos earned his Ph.D. in Computing Science and an M.Sc. in Computer Forensics and E-Discovery from the University of Glasgow. His doctoral research focused on “On the Enhancement of Data Quality in Security Incident Response Investigations". As of 2026, he has published over fifty peer-reviewed publications on digital forensics and cybersecurity. In the past, Dr. Grispos has received funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Department of Justice, and the he Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
