Dr. Regina Matos serves as one of five Deans of Students at Arizona State University, advancing student success opportunities at the ASU West Valley campus. Her 30-year career in higher education is focused on the success of the students she serves. Working at a large, public university, Dr. Matos is committed to the belonging and inclusion of all students. Dr. Matos is known for strategic collaborations, student engagement, and student advocacy.
A two-time Sun Devil and a one-time Lumberjack, Dr. Matos earned a Doctorate of Education in Leadership and Innovation, a Master of Education degree in Counseling, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. Her research interests include affinity, institutional loyalty, student engagement, and student success.
Dr. Matos and her family moved to the US from war-torn Nicaragua when she was ten, solidifying her personal commitment to causes related to immigration and refugee populations.
