Claudia Ramirez is an Academic Success Specialist for the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. She obtained a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies (BIS) with concentrations in Political Science and Communications from Arizona State University in 2010, followed by a Master of Liberal Studies (MLSt) from the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences in 2014 and a second Masters degree in Higher and Post-secondary Education from Mary Lou Fulton's Teachers College in 2018.
She was previously an Educational Outreach Specialist, program coordinator and advisor for ASU's Hispanic Mother-Daughter Program. A college preparatory program that serves first-generation college students and families and served as PAB advisor and Marketing Coordinator with the office of Student Engagement at ASU's Downtown Campus.
Additionally she has received certification in DREAMzone, an ASU initiative dedicated towards educating staff on how to better serve and assist DreamAct students.
Today she serves as academic advisor for Cronkite's Journalism and Sports Journalism students and will be teaching sections of Cronkite's ASU 101-CS courses this Fall.
