Graduate Student Design, Environment and the Arts (Design) Herberger Institute
Finden graduated with a graphic design bachelor’s degree in 2011, and then a master's degree in graphic information technology in 2015. He's worked as an environmental graphic designer, print specialist, and digital creator. He has experience in design studios, in-house marketing teams, and a principal in his own studio.
From 2014–2020, he was a faculty associate at ASU's The Design School, where he now teaches full-time as a clinical assistant professor. In the Spring 2022 semester, he also became the coordinator of the first- and second-year courses. In the Fall 2023 semester, he took on the role of program co-head, overseeing the first- and second-year courses, along with the graduate program.
Finden is a PhD student in ASU's Environment, Design, and the Arts degree program where he studies the visual communication of extreme heat risk in outdoor recreation areas.
