Patricia Janicek

Patricia B. Janicek, DNP, WHNP-BC, is a women’s health nurse practitioner and clinical instructor with the Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation.  She is also the specialty coordinator for the women's health concentration and part-time faculty member for the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program.

Dr. Janicek has been teaching in both the doctor of nursing practice (DNP) and master in nursing science  (MSN) programs, as well as mentoring students with their doctoral projects. Areas of interest include Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, sexual health, and the LGBTQ+ population.

Dr. Janicek is a women's health nurse practitioner at Southwest Contemporary Women's Care (SWCWC) in Tempe, Arizona. Within this large practice setting, she provides supervised clinical practice hours for ASU Doctor of Nursing Practice students. In addition to providing patient care in both the office and the hospital setting, she serves on leadership committees with a focus on innovation and technology in the OB/GYN setting. Dr. Janicek is also a regular contributing author to the SWCWC women's health blog. Her volunteer activities include participation in community outreach for underserved populations of women and their children.
