Long Bio
Mariam Galarrita is an assistant professor in the Department of English, formerly a postdoctoral fellow, and member of the Arizona Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies. She was the founder and director of the Race and the Premodern Period Speaker Series at University of California at Riverside. Her research focuses on early modern English drama and travel writing, premodern critical race studies, racial trauma, science fiction, and language. Her current project explores the first recorded Asians in early modern England.
