Weins is a teaching professor in criminal justice at ASU. He has been interviewed by media like CBS and NBC/FOX affiliates and The New York Times. He served as a U.S. Fulbright specialist to the nation of Bhutan in 2018.

Green writes on the history of political and legal thought. He is especially interested in the history of constitutionalism, theories of interpretation, and the concept of judicial power.
