Mings served as a professor at ASU from 1970 to 1997. His teaching included world regional geography, Latin America, recreation, and research methods. He helped found and remains active with the Arizona Geographic Alliance.

Walker is a geomorphologist with expertise in sediment transport and erosion, coastal and aeolian geomorphology, environmental fluid dynamics, sand dune ecosystems, and paleo landscape reconstructions.

Gall is a hazards geographer and studies how natural hazards and society interact. She utilizes geospatial analytics and disaster metrics (vulnerability indices, losses, etc.) to capture these interactions.

Matthew Toro is a broadly trained geographer serving as the director of maps, imagery, and geospatial services at ASU Library. He oversees the Map and Geospatial Hub, a traditional map library fused with a modern GIS center.

Meerow combines the disciplines of geography and urban planning as she researches how to make cities more resilient in the face of climate change as well as other social and environmental hazards.

Tong's research primarily focuses on the use of spatial analytics including spatial optimization, geographic information system, and spatial statistics to support urban and regional studies concerning location.
