Profiles in "Language" Expertise Area

  • Glenberg studies cognitive science, specifically the embodied theory of cognition. He and his team have developed EMBRACE, an iPad application for language comprehension.
  • Gray leads the Child Language and Literacy Laboratory which focuses on how children learn to talk, read and write.
  • Duran studies information processing as revealed in the dynamics of movement and language across individuals and groups. His research areas include social perspective-taking, interpersonal processes and deception.
  • Rogalsky studies the neurobiology of language and cognition, and how they change after a brain injury (e.g. stroke). Methodologies include neuroimaging, neuropsychology, and translational collaborations with clinicians.
  • Dr. Danielle McNamara is the Executive Director of the Learning Engineering Institute and the Director of the Science of Learning and Educational Technology (SoLET) laboratory at ASU.
