Paul Kei Matsuda is Professor of English and Director of Second Language Writing. He has published widely on issues related to language, writing, identity, mentoring, and professional development.

Glenberg studies cognitive science, specifically the embodied theory of cognition. He and his team have developed EMBRACE, an iPad application for language comprehension.

Gray leads the Child Language and Literacy Laboratory which focuses on how children learn to talk, read and write.

Duran studies information processing as revealed in the dynamics of movement and language across individuals and groups. His research areas include social perspective-taking, interpersonal processes and deception.

Rogalsky studies the neurobiology of language and cognition, and how they change after a brain injury (e.g. stroke). Methodologies include neuroimaging, neuropsychology, and translational collaborations with clinicians.

Dr. Danielle McNamara is the Executive Director of the Learning Engineering Institute and the Director of the Science of Learning and Educational Technology (SoLET) laboratory at ASU.

Torres is an applied sociolinguist who employs both quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze spoken and written discourses related to medical interactions and policies, as well as AI use in language learning.
