- Paul Kei Matsuda is Professor of English and Director of Second Language Writing. He has published widely on issues related to language, writing, identity, mentoring, and professional development.
- Glenberg studies cognitive science, specifically the embodied theory of cognition. He and his team have developed EMBRACE, an iPad application for language comprehension.
- Gray leads the Child Language and Literacy Laboratory which focuses on how children learn to talk, read and write.
