Upham is an eco-evolutionary biologist with core interests in how species ecologies have diversified through time and across the tree of life. He studies the phylogenetic ecology of wild mammals, especially desert rodents.

My research interests include control theory, formal methods, and machine learning (including reinforcement learning), with applications on autonomous systems and cyber-physical systems.

Sabiha primarily teaches Statistics and Data Science classes, and her research interests are Bayesian Statistics, Statistical Computing and Machine Learning with applications to health and computational social science.

Shawn Lawson is an artist creating the computational sublime. He live-codes real-time computer graphics and machine learning neural nets with his open source software. Lawson’s work critiques technology's impact on society.
