DeMaris, soprano, has been heard on opera, recital, and concert stages. Her research interests include musicianship for singing, and self-directed learning in the applied voice studio.

Equally at home in opera, musical theatre, symphony, pops and ballet, Brian DeMaris currently serves as Principal Conductor of Anchorage Opera and Artistic Director of ASU's Music Theatre and Opera program in the School of Music, Dance and Theatre.

Schmelz's areas of expertise include 20th- and 21st century music; Ukrainian, Russian, and Soviet music; music in the Cold War; popular and experimental music; film music; music and politics; and sound studies.

Weiss, mezzo-soprano, has sung Zweite Dame, Grimgerde, Leitmetzerin, Marcellina, Santuzza, and Venus with Deutsche Oper Berlin, Staatsoper Unter den Linden, Oper Köln, Oper Leipzig, San Diego Opera, and Berlin Philharmonic.
