Tran holds a doctorate in counseling psychology. Her Tran Ethnic and Minority Psychology and Experiences (TEMPE) Lab focuses on athlete mental health, financial stressors, discrimination, ethnic-racial socialization and minority psychology.

Dr. Parsons is the Grace Center Professor of Innovation in Clinical Education, Simulation Science, & Immersive Technology (tenured) and Director of the Computational Neuropsychology & Simulation (CNS) Lab at ASU.
