Carol Moffett's nursing experience has been primarily focused on work in the community setting, as a home health nurse for 8 years, and in public health nursing as a member of the US Public Health Service working primarily with American Indian Populations. More recently she has developed skills working with substance use disorder through Crossroads. Her nurse practitioner experience allowed her to develop community-based clinics for children and adults. The populations she works with are considered vulnerable. One group was burdened with high rates of type 2 diabetes, while another struggle with substance use disorders. She has worked in the research setting at the National Institutes of Health in the National Institute of Diabetes, Digestive and Kidney Diseases. Currently, she is a full-time clinical faculty working for Edson CONHI.
