Allison Otu, MBA is an executive leader with more than two decades of experience advancing organizational goals through strategic marketing, communications and engagement initiatives. She currently serves as Executive Director of marketing, communications and events at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, where she leads initiatives supporting recruitment, student success, faculty visibility and national positioning. She was named a 2025 InBusiness Magazine Woman of Achievement in recognition of her leadership and innovation across Arizona’s business and education communities. Her work includes advancing AI-informed communications practices, overseeing data-driven national marketing initiatives through high-performing partnerships, and guiding the launch of ASU Law’s recently launched part-time JD online.
Over the course of her career, Otu has held senior leadership roles across higher education and healthcare, with deep expertise in executive communications, brand strategy, and community engagement. She began her higher education career at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix, leading outreach and communications, and later served as Executive Director for Corporate and Community Relations at the University of Arizona Health Sciences. At Arizona State University, she has held roles including Executive Director of Brand Engagement and Communications for the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication and Arizona PBS, as well as Associate Vice President of Outreach in Educational Outreach and Student Services, where she led multidisciplinary teams to expand brand visibility and strengthen strategic partnerships.
A Flinn-Brown Fellow and dedicated community servant, Otu has served on boards and commissions focused on youth, arts, and civic leadership, including the Children’s Museum of Phoenix, Arizona School for the Arts, Downtown Phoenix Inc., and the Phoenix Women’s Commission.She holds a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Ball State University and an Executive MBA from the University of Arizona Eller College of Management.
