Tamera M. Riethmann is a clinical associate professor in the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at Arizona State University. She is an instructor for the early childhood and early childhood special education program. For the first ten years at ASU she worked as a site lead working with the Scottsdale School District to establish and maintain relationships between ASU and the districts administration to provide resident student teachers with quality senior year residency experiences. Her role included the supervision of students completing their internship or student teaching in undergraduate and graduate programs. Her current role as a professional experience strategist has her supporting site leads, developing curriculum for internship and student teaching courses, and helping to support residents and mentor teachers. Prior to teaching at ASU, she taught first and third-grade students in Title 1 schools in Arizona and wrote common core curriculum for a national consulting firm for many school districts throughout the United States. Dr. Riethmann’s research interests include family engagement in schools and preparing future teachers to engage with families.
