Timothy Takahashi was the Professor of Practice for aerospace engineering in the School for the Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy at Arizona State University from 2012 through 2024. He taught classes in aircraft performance, aerodynamics, aerospace structures & materials and engineering profession. During the school year, he coordinated senior undergraduate capstone projects in fixed wing aircraft design. Over the summer, he was involved in many aerospace projects sponsored by the USAF, the RCAF and private sector entities.
Prior to joining ASU he worked at NASA/Ames, Lockheed-Martin, Raytheon and Northrop-Grumman. He is an Associate Fellow of the AIAA, advisor for the AIAA @ ASU student chapter, a member of the AIAA Aircraft Design Technical Committee, the AIAA History Technical Committee. He, along with his many graduate students, is a prolific author of AIAA conference papers.
