Stephane Baldwin is a Faculty Associate for the Nonprofit Leadership and Management program in the School of Community Resources and Development and the Lodestar Center for Nonprofit Innovation and Philanthropy, at Arizona State University.
Stephanie is also a certified HR professional with over a decade of experience in human resources management. She has a passion for all things HR, law, technolog, and supporting the nonprofit world. Prior to attending law school, she served as the Director of HR at the nonprofit Phoenix Zoo and has been teaching for the ASU Lodestar Center since 2013. Stephanie has also worked in the for-profit HR world for American Express, Target and Sprint.
Stephanie has been a featured speaker at the Association and Zoos and Aquariums National conference presenting on topics ranging from Domestic Partnership Benefits to Social Media Policy Best Practices. In 2013, her poster “Onboarding - Beyond Orientation: The Key to New Staff Success”, won the AZA Conference Best Poster: Illustrative/Narrative/Descriptive award. A first for any Zoo or Aquarium Administrative Department at the conference since its inception.
Stephanie has a Bachelor's degree in Organization Communication from Arizona State University, a Master of Education degree in Counseling - Human Relations from Northern Arizona University, a Graduate Certificate in Integration of Technology in Schools from George Mason Universit, and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Arizona. She recently passed the bar exam, and is pending admission to the Arizona Bar. Stephanie also has a Professional Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the ASU Lodestar Center and has completed Disney Institute Training in Leadership Excellence, Selection, Training and Engagement, Creativity and Innovation and Quality Service.
