Susan Norton serves as the Manager of Development, Engagement, and Food Systems within the Office of University Sustainability Practices at Arizona State University. In this role, she advances ASU’s sustainability mission by developing and managing innovative programs and projects, including the conception and oversight of the Garden Commons. Susan also leads campus-wide engagement efforts such as Campus Sustainability Month, Earth Month, and a variety of staff engagement initiatives that foster a culture of sustainability across the university community.
Her previous experience spans a wide range of environmental and sustainability education roles with respected organizations, including the Desert Botanical Garden, City of Chandler, Arizona Game & Fish Department’s Heritage Grants (schoolyard habitat design), Sherman Library and Gardens, The Center for Plant Conservation, National Tropical Botanical Gardens in Hawaii, and Hyatt Hospitality.
