Edward (Ned) Wellman is an Associate Professor in the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Professor Wellman investigates formal and informal leadership dynamics as well as team dynamics. His passion is in understanding the personal journey involved in becoming a leader and how leaders can inspire positive change in others.
Professor Wellman has experience teaching and consulting across a variety of industries and audiences from clients such as Intel, NASA, American Express, Surgical Directions, and others. He teaches graduate-level courses on leadership and negotiations. In 2020 he was recognized as one of Poets and Quants Top 40 Under 40 MBA Professors.
Professor Wellman earned his PhD in Management and Organizations from the University of Michigan.
