A member of the Arizona, Illinois and Florida Bars, Ms. Scholz was awarded her bachelor's degree from Purdue University and her juris doctorate from the University of Miami. As a Cook County Assistant State's Attorney for more than seven years, she prosecuted cases in the Chicago courtrooms, represented the State in the Illinois Appellate and Supreme Courts, and supervised junior attorneys. After relocating to Arizona, she was a prosecutor for several East Valley municipalities for several years then switched to criminal defense and civil personal injury cases. Ms Scholz joined ASU as a faculty associate in 2013 and teaches online and face-to-face classes including Law & Social Control; Imperatives of Proof; Introduction to Criminology; and, Community Supervision. She has been an adjunct faculty member of the Maricopa County Community College system since 2001 where she has taught and developed online, hybrid and face-to-face classes in the Administion of Justice and Business Departments.
