Long Bio
Christina (Tina) Shepard is a Clinical Professor, Director of the accredited Dietetic Internship Program, and Director of the MS in Nutritional Science degree in the College of Health Solutions at ASU. She is a past president of the Arizona Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (2008-2009), was recognized as the Outstanding Arizona Registered Dietitian of the Year in 2013, and was named Outstanding Dietetic Educator of the Year by the Nutrition & Dietetic Educators and Preceptors practice group in 2016. Her research interests include nutrition education of the public and the health practitioner, nutrition and dietetic career education, and the Mediterranean Diet. She has led several ASU Study Abroad programs to Italy and Spain to study the Mediterranean Diet. Tina is also a Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and is also a Certified Master Gardener with the Maricopa County Cooperative Extension Office.
