Oana Almasan

Oana Almășan teaches courses Culture and Society Transformation and Romanian Language and Culture at School of International Letters and Cultures at Arizona State University. She is a former ASU Fulbright Scholar (School of Public Affairs, 2010-2011) and holds a doctorate in Public Management since 2012. She got her bachelor's in 2002 and her master's in communications and public relations in 2004.

Professor Almășan’s experience includes more than 15 years of academic teaching (at the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration in Bucharest and at ASU), more than 10 years of working as researcher in internationally financed projects, and as a consultant and trainer in several programs involving collaboration with the Romanian Ministry of Education, the Government of Romania, the National Bank of Romania, the City of Cluj-Napoca, the European Youth Forum, UNESCO and the World Bank.

Her published work includes articles, papers, and chapters in Romanian and international scientific journals, conference proceedings and compendiums covering areas such as intercultural communication, public participation and policy dialog, public management, language teaching and internationalization of higher education.
