On October 31, 2015, I retired after nearly 29 years of federal service, 25 in law enforcement and 4 years of military service (US Army). I worked primarily in institutional and community corrections. In the military, I was a Signal Intelligence Interceptor in which I copied Morse code from targets located around the world.
Prior to working in federal law enforcement, I was employed as a juvenile detention and transportation officer at a facility in northwest Indiana. Additionally, I have worked as a consultant for the Washington Elementary School District in Phoenix and I had the opportunity to work as an intern for National Semiconductor’s Corporate Security Division located in Santa Clara, California.
I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Indiana University-Northwest and my Master's Degree in Justice Studies from Arizona State University.
