Kristin Dybvig, is an academic leader and communication scholar with over two decades of experience in higher education. She currently serves as Director of Undergraduate Studies at the Hugh Downs School of Human Communication at Arizona State University, where she oversees curriculum development, faculty supervision, academic integrity, study abroad, and strategic coordination across institutional partners.
A dedicated educator and administrator, Dr. Dybvig has led initiatives to enhance undergraduate education through global study opportunities, innovative course design, and career-focused curriculum development. As a member of the school’s executive committee, she has championed curricular reforms aligning academic offerings with evolving industry needs.
Since 2005, Dr. Dybvig has also served as the School’s Internship Director, guiding students through career readiness and fostering partnerships with over 350 employers. Her “choose your own adventure” course model reflects her commitment to student-centered learning.
Dr. Dybvig holds a Ph.D. in Human Communication from Arizona State University, an M.S. in Communication from Cornell University, and a B.A. in Political Science from ASU. Her academic and professional efforts continue to shape impactful, real-world communication education.
