Kassandra Salas, hailing from Lemoore, CA and Gulfport, MS, is a bright academic talent with a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication and Media Studies and a Master's degree in Liberal Studies with a specialization in Film and Media Studies. A proud Sun-Devil Alumni, Kassie joined the Double Devil ranks in the Fall of 2022.
With a diverse range of interests spanning Chicanx/Latinx studies, literature, art history, film, and media studies. Kassie has made her mark through her research on Horror Films as Comfort Films, showcasing her analytical prowess and intellectual curiosity. In addition to her academic achievements, Kassie has honed her professional skills and gained practical experience through her work as a student worker at ASU, where she contributed to the campus community in various capacities. Furthermore, Kassie has lent her talents as a social media coordinator for Benjo Blocks and as a music writer and interviewer for The Grey Estates, demonstrating her versatility and communication skills. She also indulges in creative pursuits as a digital and traditional artist in her free time.
As a Coordinator Sr in the Student Success Center, Kassie continues to inspire and empower others with her dedication to excellence and her passion for education.
