Damion Bunz is an Academic Success Advising Coordinator in Undergraduate Services within the Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation at Arizona State University. In his role, he supports undergraduate student success through academic advising leadership, process improvement initiatives, strategic student support, and team coordination. His work focuses on helping students navigate complex academic pathways while improving operational systems and advising practices that enhance the student experience.
Damion has experience working with diverse student populations across higher education, with a background that includes academic advising, student success operations, leadership development, financial services, and client relations. He is particularly passionate about proactive advising, student retention, leadership in higher education, and developing systems that promote equitable student outcomes.
He earned a Master of Leadership and Management from Arizona State University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Law, along with associate degrees in Economics and Risk Management & Insurance. Damion is currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership and Management at Walden University, where his interests include student success strategy, organizational leadership, and higher education administration.
In addition to his advising leadership work, Damion is interested in future opportunities related to program management, higher education leadership, and faculty or instructional roles that support student development and institutional impact.
