Chen Jiang is a dedicated educator with 5 years of teaching and advising experience in higher education. She first joined ASU as a Ph.D. student in political science, but the COVID-19 pandemic transformed her career aspiration from academia to student support. Therefore, she came back to ASU SPGS as an academic success advisor after a short hiatus. While advising undergraduates, she gradually developed an interest in career advising, which motivated her to join the W. P. Carey GPO as a graduate programs student recruiter.
Chen's family origin is in Inner Mongolia - Northeast China - but she spent her childhood in Ganzhou, Jiangxi, a small town in Southern China. Chen moved to Wuhan, Hubei together with her family and completed her secondary education there. She went to Nanjing for her college and Nanjing became her favorite Chinese city.
Chen is a twin. When she is not working, she likes (fridge-cleaning) cooking, reading, writing poems, (moderate) hiking, and (watching) table tennis. She is also learning French and getting serious about photography.
