Angel Flores serves as Senior Director of Budget Planning and Operations in the Office of Planning and Budget, where she leads institutional budget development, financial analysis, and administration of the university’s budget system, Workday Adaptive Planning. Her work supports university leadership through data-informed decision-making and effective stewardship of resources aligned with institutional priorities. She also provides budgeting support to academic and administrative units across the institution.
Prior to joining ASU, Angel served as Deputy Chief Financial Officer at the Arizona Department of Administration, supporting the agency's financial operations and budget development. She also worked as a Budget Analyst for the Arizona Governor’s Office of Strategic Planning and Budgeting, contributing to executive-level fiscal analysis and statewide budget planning efforts.
Angel began her public service career as a Human Resources Officer in the United States Army, where she provided personnel and administrative leadership and advised senior leaders on personnel, regulatory, and organizational matters.
