Long Bio
My research primarily delves into the realm of statistics and applied probability, with a focus on the theory and inference of random fields and dependent data. Specifically, I study excursion probabilities, critical points and clusters of (smooth) Gaussian and related random fields, and apply them to signal (extreme event) detection, change point detection, extreme value analysis and spatial statistics. I am also involved in applications in other fields such as geoscience, medical imaging and astronomy.
