Adam Seagrave
Adam Seagrave (Ph.D., University of Notre Dame) is Associate Professor in the School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership at Arizona State University. He was the inaugural Associate Director of the School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership, as well as inaugural Associate Director of the Center for Political Thought and Leadership. He writes and teaches in the area of political philosophy and American political thought, with a particular focus on issues of race in American history. He has published Race and the American Story (with Stephanie Shonekan, Oxford University Press, forthcoming Spring 2024), The Accessible Federalist (Hackett Publishing Co., 2017), Liberty and Equality: The American Conversation (University Press of Kansas, 2015), and The Foundations of Natural Morality: On the Compatibility of Natural Rights and the Natural Law (University of Chicago Press, 2014). In addition to his teaching and research, Dr. Seagrave is co-founder and co-director of the Race and the American Story project.
