Lindsey Beagley

Senior Director of Lifelong University Engagement, Lindsey Beagley leads the integration of Mirabella at ASU senior residents into the university ecosystem and campus community, and designs new models of intergenerational and lifelong learning using co-creative human centered approaches that recognize older adults as both a new kind of learner and also a critical contributor to ASU's mission. Mirabella at ASU is an illustration of ASU’s broader commitment to adapting to the needs of all learners at every stage of life.

Beagley is a native Phoenician and a triple alumna of ASU where she began her higher ed career as a University Innovation Fellow, experimenting with ways to blur the traditional bounds of the university and the community it serves. She is passionate about finding ways to strengthen our community by connecting generations and re-imagining the cultural narrative about retirement. Prior to her role with Mirabella, Beagley launched a homesharing agency in Greater Phoenix (HomeShare Arizona) to help older adults rent out an extra bedroom in their home to a local college student in exchange for household chores and/or reduced rent. Through this experience, she developed a passion for the power of intergenerational interactions as a solution to strengthen social cohesion in communities, address affordable housing challenges, and increase the likelihood of post-secondary student success. 

Beagley is a returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Honduras '06-'08) and, prior to working at ASU, spent seven years in human services managing quality assurance, training, data analysis, and designing new service solutions for underserved populations utilizing government assistance programs at local and national levels.
