Kevin is a Principal Research Scientist with EdPlus' Action Lab, where he conducts quantitative research to inform pedagogy and enhance student success and equity. Prior to his role at EdPlus, Kevin worked as a data science specialist with ASU's Enterprise Marketing Hub and as an academic advisor for the Natural Sciences in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
Before his time at ASU, Kevin spent nearly 10 years as a faculty member in Biology, first at Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN, then at Saint Olaf College in Northfield, MN. He taught courses in Introductory Biology, Animal Behavior, Human Biology, and Human and Vertebrate Anatomy, while also conducting research on wild chimpanzee behavior and ecology.
Kevin received his PhD in Anthropology in 2008 after completing his dissertation research on the feeding ecology and grouping behavior of chimpanzees in Kibale National Park, Uganda, where he first started working in 2003.
