Born and raised in Los Angeles, Evan is a sports enthusiast, educator, and advocate for diversity in the sports industry. With a background in Education from UC Irvine and Sports Law from ASU, Evan has driven change at every step of their journey.
As a Community and Youth Basketball Fellow for the LA Sparks, Evan helped mentor future athletes in the Greater Los Angeles Area who had an affinity for the WNBA. Evan then transitioned to roles in football operations with the Los Angeles Rams during their transition from St. Louis back to Los Angeles. Interested in other aspects of sports, Evan took on a role in game entertainment with the Los Angeles Chargers. After some time in the NFL and with an interest in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Evan helped establish a foundation for the United Soccer League prior to joining the Sports Law and Business Program full time at ASU.
Guided by teamwork and excellence, Evan has spearheaded initiatives for student-athletes, including Name, Image, and Likeness Rights, pioneered a mentorship program in Sports Law and Business, and conducted research on DEI practices for Athletic Directors throughout the NCAA.
Looking ahead, Evan aims to expose untapped opportunities in sports to younger generations. Currently, he is creating a sports officiating course at ASU and integrating DEI into sports organizations and programs across the country.
