Major Frederick L. Pack IV is a cyberspace operations officer assigned to the 75th Intelligence Squadron at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland.
Major Pack enlisted in the Air Force in December 2002 and his background includes various duties as a computer programmer and a previous assignment at the White House Communications Agency. He attended both Troy University and the Florida Institute of Technology and commissioned in October of 2013 as a graduate of Officer Training School.
Major Pack previously as a member of the military faculty with duties as an Assistant Professor and Director of Operations at the College of Information and Cyberspace, National Defense University, Fort Lesley J. McNair, DC. He oversaw day-to-day operations for the college, including academic and program support and the 868-thousand-dollar budget. Additionally, he had instructor duties for several graduate courses within the college’s curriculum.
Since commissioning, Major Pack has deployed twice serving in contingency roles. He deployed on a yearlong tour, from May 2016 to May 2017, as the Communications Branch Chief and Air Defense Liaison Team’s Communication Officer at the Air Force Central Command’s Air Warfare Center, Al Dhafra Air Base, United Arab Emirates. Additionally, he deployed as the Liaison Officer-Operating Location Alpha for the Persistent Attack and Reconnaissance Operations Center where he oversaw operations of a satellite relay station.
