Leslie Paik’s research interests are youth, families, and law and society. Her most recent book is “Trapped in a Maze: How Social Control Institutions Drive Family Poverty and Inequality” (2021, UC Press). A professor in the T. Denny Sanford School of Social and Family Dynamics at ASU, she was previously a professor of sociology at The City College of New York and the CUNY Graduate Center. Paik earned her PhD at the University of California Los Angeles and a BA at Brown University.
